New Responsible Investment Policy establishes new commitments and ethical advisory group
The University has published its Responsible Investment Policy Statement (2025), which can be found below. This includes new commitments to socially positive investment and decarbonising portfolios, in alignment with a 1.5°C emissions pathway.

Congratulations to this year’s Changemakers!
The Changemaker Awards celebrate students and staff who have gone above and beyond to make a positive social or environmental impact at the University.
25 individuals and initiatives were recognised this year, with a special recognition prize awarded to Sandra Kinnear from Accommodation, Catering and Events.

Climate and Connection Conference, 24 June, 9am – 1pm
University of Edinburgh staff and students are invited to book a place to explore interdisciplinary, nature-based and place-based approaches to teaching climate and sustainability.
Hosted by the Teaching Climate and Sustainability community of practice, it will be held at the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute (ECCI):
