The Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment’s (CoARA) working group, Towards an Inclusive Evaluation of Research (TIER), has launched a survey that aims to investigate intersectional and gender biases in research evaluation practices.
The findings are part of an effort to reform research evaluation in European academic and research institutions. It focuses on intersectional biases, particularly gender bias as perceived by academic faculty and funding agencies staff during the evaluation of research (ie: for funding purposes), career advancement and the hiring process.
This survey should take about 15 minutes to complete and is intended for PhD students and researchers. The deadline is Monday 31 March.
