Learning and Teaching Conference
Student submissions or those that are jointly led by both staff and students are encouraged. The conference design aims to maximise discussion time and sharing practice. Please note that as this year’s conference is just one day, fewer proposals will be accepted.
What’s next?
The outcome of the proposal reviewing process will be communicated in March.
Conference details
The conference will take place on Tuesday 17 June 2025.
It is a one day, in-person event at the Nucleus Building, King’s Building campus, with selected sessions live-streamed and recorded. There will be a keynote talk, short practice or research presentations, panel discussions, demonstrations, posters and opportunities to network.
The event will bring together staff and students to celebrate and share good practice, take a scholarly look at learning and teaching, and continue to raise the profile of learning and teaching at the University.
Presentations will be organised around this year’s conference title. Engaging in transformative assessment and feedback practices shifts the paradigm from assessment and feedback as a one-way transmission model to a dynamic, ongoing process – one that is no longer something done to students, but something students actively engage with to deepen understanding, drive improvement, and continuously enhance their learning.
Conference registration will open in April when the full programme is announced and details will continue to be updated on the conference webpage.
