Top updates from across the University.

1. Responding to financial challenges in the sector

The University Principal, Peter Mathieson, emailed all staff in November with a further update on the actions the University is taking in response to financial challenges in the sector.

Staff were also invited to a hybrid event with senior leadership, where they had the chance to ask questions.

A SharePoint site will be shared with all staff later this week with further information and FAQs.

2. December payday

University staff will receive their December salary earlier than usual this month.

Payday will be brought forward to Thursday 19 December. December’s payslip will be available to view online from Tuesday 17 December.

This change is for December only. Payday for the University is usually the 28th of each month. If this falls on a weekend, it is the Friday preceding the 28th.

Please be aware that this earlier payday for December may impact cut-off dates for some Schools or Departments. For information on cut-off dates, payslip availability and pay dates please visit the webpages below.

Remember you can view your payslips and salary information in People and Money.
