Guest speaker, Lyndsay Harrison, a registered nurse with over 30 years’ experience, will join Dorileen Forbes, Deputy Director, Health and Wellbeing, for a talk and Q&A at 10am on Thursday 31 October.
After undertaking further training with the British Menopause Society, Lyndsay now runs a dedicated menopause clinic in general practice in Edinburgh that provides peri-menopausal and menopausal care and support.
All staff are welcome to join. Lyndsay’s talk will cover menopause and its symptoms, how menopause can impact daily life, including the workplace, and how colleagues can support each other. The 45-minute session will include an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.
This event is being held following the launch of the University’s Menopause Policy, which aims to offer support and guidance to any colleague experiencing menopause and to those who may be indirectly impacted. This is part of our University’s wider commitment, captured in our People Strategy, to fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.
