Postdoc societies across the University marked Postdoc Appreciation Week, from 16 to 20 September, with a series of group photos across our campuses.
The celebrations aim to support and celebrate those continuing their research careers after completing their PhDs.
Dr. Christine Merrick, Chair of the BioDocSoc, School of Biological Sciences said:
“During National Postdoc Appreciation Week, we are taking a moment to highlight our many postdocs and celebrate the valuable contributions they make to research across our campuses.”
Dr. Marlène Magalhaes Pinto, BioQuarter PostDoc Society said:
“Postdoc Appreciation Week is a time to celebrate not only the brilliance of postdocs but also their resilience. It is important to take a moment to share our struggles and failures as openly as our successes. This will shape a better research culture.”
