During the week of 2-6 September, staff and students are invited to celebrate technicians’ vital contributions to the University. Technician Week events will be held across all campuses. A conference will be held at the Playfair Library on 3 September. There will also be local TechNet events, workshops, technician-led tours, BSL meet-and-greets, Technician Awards, an image competition and more.
Contact your campus technician champion if you wish to be involved in events at your location.

Technician Awards
The University’s Technician Awards aim to recognise the exceptional contributions of technical staff to the University. In particular, they aim to reward those who excel in what they do, who ‘go the extra mile’ in their work, in their contribution to the life of the University, in their contribution to public engagement and in the provision of support to their colleagues, School or department.
All University staff and students are encouraged to think of technical staff who have performed exceptionally well over the last year and to nominate them now. Information on how to nominate and on the award categories can be found at the link below.
