Dr Kate Wright from the School of Social and Political Sciences (SPS) has secured a prestigious Bridging Responsible AI Divides (BRAID) Fellowship to investigate the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in public media. The fellowship programme is a new £2.4 million initiative launched to help organisations develop solutions for pressing questions around the responsible use of AI.
Ilya Chevyrev is one of the winners of the Rollo Davidson Prize for 2024 for his contributions to rough analysis and singular stochastics PDEs, and in particular to our understanding of the 2D Yang-Mills measure. The Rollo Davidson Prize has been awarded annually, since 1976, to young probabilists.
Professor Antonella Sorace has been honoured by the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the world’s largest multidisciplinary scientific society. Professor Sorace’s election is in recognition of her contributions to the science of multilingualism, and for creating a scalable global model for bringing the science of multilingualism to public and policy spheres.
