Since Bulletin last published, congratulations include those to:

  • Neil Pollock, a Professor of Innovation and Social Informatics at the University’s Business School, has been elected to the Fellowship of the Academy of Social Sciences. He said: “I feel incredibly grateful to become a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences. There has never been a more crucial time to conduct research on the sociology of digital technology, particularly now that we must face and comprehend the opportunities and challenges presented by Artificial Intelligence. It is an honour to support the Academy’s objective to promote the crucial contribution social science makes to understanding and transforming the world we live in.”
  • Dr Wendy Ugolini, a Senior Lecturer in history, has been awarded a large AHRC Research Grant as Principal Investigator for the three-year project ‘Beyond Borders: The Second World War, National Identities and Empire in the UK’.
