The University is to hold an engaging discussion with researchers and leading archivists on the challenges and opportunities for researching Black History in Scotland and the UK.[/lead]
The ‘Researching Black History’ event will be held on 4 October at 5pm in Appleton Tower. It seeks to open up a conversation about sources and collections for researching Black History, and showcase recent research and research which is currently underway.
The speakers are: Dr Ayshah R Johnston of Black Cultural Archives; Rachel Hosker, University of Edinburgh’s Archivist and Research Collections Manager and PhD Researcher, Imogen Westbury.
