The award-winning new cafe is just one of the facilities in the Nucleus building, a shared learning, teaching and social hub at the heart of the King’s Buildings campus that has transformed the staff and student experience for campus users.
David Grist and Ian Macaulay from Accommodation, Catering and Events (ACE), accepted the award from category sponsor Adrian O’Hare, from The Soho Sandwich Company, and host, Simon Rimmer, last month.
The U Dine Awards celebrate and recognise excellence in the university hospitality sector. They were established as a joint initiative between Inside Foodservice and University Hospitality Seminars.
Ian Macaulay, Director – Catering/Nurseries at ACE, described the win as a great achievement: “Well done to all as this was very much a team effort, be it initial concept design, all the new IT systems procured and introduced, through to new food offers, and of course the many who worked at set up.”
