The Teaching Matters blog team shares an insight into its explorations of the latest learning and teaching themes.

In January and February 2023, the University of Edinburgh’s Teaching Matters blog celebrated the 20th year of the Scottish higher education sector’s enhancement-led approach to quality.

The blog posts in the series offered critical reflection on the enhancement efforts led by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) Scotland and looked to the future of enhancement. To illustrate the impact of the 20 years of Enhancement, Nichola Kett, Head of the Quality Assurance and Enhancement Team in Academic Services and Lucy Evans, Deputy Secretary, Students, shared insights into the student transitions theme and discussed the University’s planned work on continuous service improvement aligned to the student journey.
