Each month, Bulletin highlights and celebrates the achievements of our fellow staff members. Congratulations to all involved.

Jim Dunlop, Head of the School of Physics & Astronomy and Professor of Extragalactic Astronomy, has been awarded a Royal Society Research Professorship. The awards provide long term support to world-class researchers of outstanding achievement to focus on ambitious and original research of the highest quality.

Elizabeth Mortimer, Assistant Director of the Careers Service, has been elected to the Board of the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS), the professional body for higher education careers and employability professionals. Elizabeth’s role as Director for Professional Standards will impact on the work of higher education careers services across the UK and beyond.

Markus Mueller, Professor of Electrical Generation Systems in the School of Engineering, has been awarded a Chair in Emerging Technologies by the Royal Academy of Engineering, in recognition of his status as a global leader in his field. Professor Mueller is one of two new Chairs in Emerging Technologies created by the Academy in the UK.
