Top updates from across the University.
1. Annual University Court update and all-staff Q&A
Learn about how the University is run and governed at the annual University Court update on Tuesday 1 November, and put your questions to the Principal and senior leaders on Monday 14 November.
The next Q&A session for all staff, led by the Principal, will be hosted online from 9 to 10am on Monday 14 November. There will be the opportunity to submit questions in advance and put your question to the panel on the day. Further details and a link to sign up will be shared early next week.
2. Upcoming Digital Strategy Town Hall and Consultation
The University of Edinburgh is asking for consultation and feedback on the University Digital Strategy. Come along to the Hybrid Town Hall on 24 November, 11am to 1pm. Five area experts will share more about their roles in the strategy, how it has changed from previous feedback and where it is headed from here.
There will be an opportunity to feed back, ask questions and learn a little more about what the Digital Strategy will mean for you and your community at the University. The consultation is open until the end of November.
Register for the event, either in person or online.
Visit the SharePoint site to read and feed back on the strategy.
3. Staff Home Working Experience Survey Results
The key findings from the Staff Home Working Experience Survey carried out in June 2022 are now available, based on 3,514 responses to the survey.
You can view the key findings in the documents section on the Hybrid Working Hub SharePoint.
The purpose of the survey was to understand the hybrid work experiences of our staff and gain insight into future aspirations. The survey results are already informing our wider assessment of hybrid ways of working and the guidance required across the University.
The results will supplement the outcomes of the next staff survey and wider strategic planning which includes our five-year People Strategy, the work of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and long-term plans for our estates and the digital strategy.
The Hybrid Working Hub is the best place to keep up to date with the latest information. Your line manager is also always available to answer any questions on hybrid working.
4. People and Money
Senior leaders from the People and Money Enactment Group emailed staff this week with an update on the urgent work taking place to address the disruption caused by the launch of our new finance services. Read the latest update from the Enactment Group here.
