1. Latest Covid guidance

Last week the First Minister announced that all legal restrictions in Scotland are expected to be lifted from 21 March, as part of an updated Strategic Framework which seeks to manage Covid-19 primarily through public health advice, vaccination, and treatment rather than legal restrictions.

The current national Covid baseline measures will therefore remain in place until then so please continue to follow the guidance that has been circulated previously. Following this new framework the Covid-19 Guiding Principles and supporting guidance are under review. Updates will follow shortly.

2. Changes to University travel

There are two new and important changes to University travel:  

  1. The University’s Sustainable Travel Policy is now live which will help us to manage our carbon emissions from travel;
  2. We’re using a new travel management company – Diversity Travel – to book travel and accommodation for University business.

3. Digital Strategy sessions

Four Digital Strategy information and engagement sessions will be held on Teams throughout March. Each of these sessions will begin with a brief overview of the Strategy, then an in-depth dive into the goals for that specific workstream with an opportunity for live feedback and discussion.
