Celebrating our colleagues – 14 December

Each fortnight, bulletin highlights and celebrates the latest prizes awarded to our fellow staff members. Congratulations to all involved.

 

Dr Katherine Dunn, Lecturer in the School of Engineering, has been awarded a Fellowship of the prestigious Institute of Physics in recognition of her work in Mechanical Engineering.

Robert Logie, Professor of Human Cognitive Neuroscience in the School of Philosophy, Psychology & Language Sciences, has been elected as the 51st Bartlett Lecturer by the UK Experimental Psychology Society. The award recognises distinction in experimental psychology or a cognate discipline over an extended period.

Dr Isla Myers-Smith, Chancellor’s Fellow in the School of GeoSciences, has been named alongside Greta Thunberg and Sir David Attenborough on a list of 26 environmental changemakers by National Geographic. Dr Myers-Smith studies the influence of warming climate on tundra vegetation in northern ecosystems.
