1. Staff Q&A session

The Principal and the senior leadership team will be holding an all staff Q&A session on Thursday 11 November from 9:30 to 11am. The session will include updates on plans for the rest of the academic year and strategic priorities. This session will also be recorded and published on our Staff News channels. 

The senior leadership team will respond to as many questions raised during the session as possible. However, to help manage questions from such a large number of attendees, staff are encouraged to submit questions in advance using the link below. This will close at 5pm on Friday 5 November:

2. USS Pensions seminar

Staff are invited to attend a USS Pensions seminar on Thursday 4 November from 2:30 to 3:30pm to raise awareness of the proposed changes and provide an opportunity for colleagues to ask questions. The session will be hosted by Mercer in Edinburgh, with whom the University has worked in the past to help deliver information on pensions.

This session will also be recorded and published on our Staff News channels.

3. Information on potential industrial action

Information for staff on potential industrial action following the UCU disputes against pension contributions and the Four Fights can now be found on the University website along with further details on proposed pension changes. More information will be made available following the outcome of the UCU ballots which close on Thursday 4 November.
