Each fortnight, bulletin highlights and celebrates the latest prizes awarded to our fellow staff members. Congratulations to all involved.

 

Esme Bullock, PhD Student in the Institute of Genetics and Cancer, Dr Rebecca Collins, Lecturer in Edinburgh College of Art, and Matias Ruiz, Research Fellow in the School of Mathematics, have been awarded Saltire Early Career fellowships from the Royal Society of Edinburgh.

Professor Donald MacKenzie, from the School of Social & Political Science, has been named on Academic Influence’s 25 Top Influential Sociologists Today list. Professor MacKenzie, identified as 22nd on the list, is a researcher in the sociology of science and technology, exploring how they shape the modern world.

Giovanni Stracquadanio, Senior Lecturer in Synthetic Biology and Co-Director of the Edinburgh Genome Foundry, in the School of Biological Sciences, has been awarded an early career fellowship from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). The fellowship is in recognition of his research excellence.
