Top updates from across the University.
1. Vaccination clinic now open
An NHS Lothian drop-in vaccination clinic opened at Pollock Halls on 13 September and will supply first and second jabs for both UK and international students, immediate family members and staff. The centre is open seven days a week. You can find out more on the University’s coronavirus webpages.
2. Testing for all staff and students
All members of the University community returning to campus are encouraged to get tested for coronavirus twice a week. The University’s TestED project is available to all staff and students at 30 sites across the estate. In addition to this, the LFD Collect service will be available at nine sites across campus. There will also be Edinburgh City Council’s mobile PCR test unit in Buccleuch Place for at least a two-week period for those who are symptomatic or have been advised to get a PCR test. Find out more about asymptomatic testing on the University’s coronavirus webpages.
3. Reporting cases of Covid-19
The University has updated the process for responding to positive Covid-19 cases. The approach has been reviewed with NHS Lothian Public Health Team and is now in line with primary and secondary education. Those on campus are still advised to use the NHS Test and Protect app.
The Health & Safety team will continue to co-ordinate this work and must be informed of all staff and student cases through the following forms:
