Leading up to COP26, the Business School is running a programme of discussions, bringing together experts in climate change to explore a whole host of subjects. Beginning last year, the COP26Cast series, which was live streamed on Facebook, has already amassed more than 160,000 views globally.
Building on this success, the team will be running another six programmes between now and November, when the conference takes place. Academics and experts from across the University and beyond will debate with NGOs, businesses and other research institutes around topics like food security, satellites, energy and coasts.
The next programme, ‘Net-zero & carbon off-setting – the great debate’, will feature Matthew Brander from the Centre for Business, Climate Change, and Sustainability (B-CCaS) in the University Business School, and will be broadcast on Facebook in early June, so look out for details. Matthew will explore the impact of zero emissions targets and how they can contribute to the goals of the Paris Agreement.
You can find out more information, including upcoming events, on the COP26Cast website.
