Sustainability Awards 2021

Reading time: < 1 minute

Social Responsibility and Sustainability’s annual Sustainability Awards celebration takes place on 1 April. The event will celebrate and recognise the efforts of staff and students who have made a positive difference in the university community, in their local communities or globally in a socially responsible or sustainable way.

While the event will obviously look a little different this year, it will still include music, poetry, videos and live contributions that share and celebrate experiences of implementing sustainability initiatives.

Staff are welcome to attend and pick up tips for making your place of work or study more socially responsible and sustainable.

Speakers will include the Principal, Professor Peter Mathieson, Students’ Association Vice President Community, Amanda Scully and the Director of Social Responsibility and Sustainability, Dave Gorman.

Entertainment includes music from the A Capella society and a live poetry reading from the co-editor and writer of Eudaemonia Records, current MSc Literature & Modernity student, Katrine Hjulstad.

Award winners will be announced throughout the celebration, in the Office, Lab, and Working from Home categories as well as in the Changemaker Award category.

Sign up to watch the awards on Eventbrite or find out more on the Sustainability Awards website.
