Nominations for the University Senate are now open for all Academic and Research staff who have been in post since 31 January 2021.The Old College Quad is empty under a blue sky

The Senate is the University’s supreme academic body and its members work to manage the University’s learning, teaching and research outputs.

Senate is chaired by the Principal and Vice Chancellor, Professor Peter Mathieson, and meets three times a year. These sessions include presentations and discussions on key strategic themes.

Becoming a member of the Senate allows you to play a significant role in managing the University’s goals for it’s learning, teaching and research, and means you can become a part of the conversation on the academic direction and priorities of the University.

There are 120 posts available and staff can self-nominate or propose a colleague.
