Connect with your colleagues: make a lunch date

Reading time: < 1 minute
In keeping with Mental Health Awareness Week, we wanted to focus on reaching out and speaking to our colleagues, whether that’s checking in on someone you haven’t heard from in a while, or letting your manager know you’re struggling.

It’s important to make sure you’re looking after yourselves during this strange time, and chatting to people who feel the same way can help you to feel less isolated.

So why not arrange a lunch date with a colleague for the upcoming week? You can catch up with your colleagues on Microsoft Teams or Zoom as you would in the office. Make an effort not to talk about work, and just enjoy having a blether to break up your day.

How have you been connecting with your colleagues during this time? Let us know in the comments or drop us an email at bulletin@ed.ac.uk
